This is fantastic, not just because it's a powerful music vid capturing the feelings of the day, but because will.i.am 'gets it' ... taken together with "A Dream", this is at the core of the Obama Revolution going on. It's like in the Sixties when politics, music, art, social change came together. But the "me generation" messed it up by creating enemies, divisions, us vs them, evil & pure categorizations. Karl Rove/Lee Atwater, Bush (and even the Clintons) were about trashing opponents, battles, and making enemies, eeking out sliver thin majorities and acting like it was mandates. Barack has spoken to what stirs in the American soul: unity, many people becoming one, solving problems together, Yes We Can change/improve/unite, a beacon of light to ourselves and the world, what we as humans can become with all of our greatness.
The Obama Revolution will succeed when we understand the message in the music-vid: "A Dream". Yes, the government must and will change ... but it's also about my dreams, and your dreams, what we do to make things better, help each other, reach across boundaries and aisles and lifestyles: compassion, understand, build up (not tear down). Like Common sez in "A Dream", use the rage to find a dream, not self-destruct or tear down, use it to change.
thank you for giving these songs to the world
